Assigning document classes

Assigning document classes specifies the document class that is assigned by default to documents of a specific file type. Once assigned, the document class is assigned to all files that are imported into a vault and the properties of the document class are applied to the files immediately. You may also configure a default document class that assigned to file types for which a specific document class has not been configured.

To assign document classes:

In ImandrA, click BlueCielo Administrator in the left pane. The configuration tree appears.
Navigate the configuration tree to and expand the vault that you want to configure. The Standard Configuration branch appears.
Expand Standard Configuration and select Extension Assignment. The Extension Assignment property page appears in the right pane.
Select or enter options using the descriptions in the following table.

Extension assignment options
Option	Description
Default Document Class	Select a document class from the list to apply to all file types for which a specific document class has not been configured. The current document class assignments appear in the Extension Assignments list.
Extension	Type a file extension, for example, dwg.
Document Class	Select a document class from the list to apply to files that have the file extension in Extension.
Assign To	Select the users to have access to files with the extension in Extension. If you select User or Group, select an appropriate value from the corresponding list.

Click Add. The new document class assignment appears in the list.
Repeat steps 4 to 5 (except for selecting a value for Default Document Class) for each document class that you want to assign.
To delete a document class assignment, select the assignment in the list and click Remove.
Click to save your changes.
